Sanmargies recite Agaval Parayanam hymns at Kumaraguru on the 9th Remembrance Day of Arutchelvar Dr. N Mahalingam Ayya
On the 9th Remembrance Day of Arutchelvar Dr. N Mahalingam Ayya, Founder of Kumaraguru Institutions, “Arutperunjothi Agaval” blessed by Thiru Arutprakasa Vallalar Ramalinga Swamigal was recited by members of Sanmarka Sangham at the Gnana Sabha in Kumaraguru campus on 02 October 2023.
Arutchelvar lived a multifarious life as a Political Leader, a Gandhian, an Entrepreneur, an Educator, a Spiritualist, and a Social Architect with the principles of reconciliation and pure righteousness of Thiru Arutprakasa Vallalar as his way of life.
Following the footsteps of Arutchelvar Ayya, on his Remembrance Day, the Sanmargies recite Agaval Parayanam hymns rendered as a tribute to Vallalar. The event started with the lighting of lamp. Followed by welcome address, Sanmargies recited Agaval Parayanam. The Sanmargies who had gathered from different places were felicitated at the end of the event.
Kumaraguru Faculty Members Visit Dubai as Part of CII Global Study Mission to Understand the Intricacies of Dubai’s Economic Landscape
Three faculty members from Kumaraguru Institutions were part of the 20-member academic and industry delegate from Coimbatore to study the dynamic business environment of Dubai.
Dr. Ezhilarasi M, Head, School of Foundational Sciences. KCT and Dr. M Saravana Mohan, Head, Mechatronics Engineering and Dr. Dayalarajan, Academic Head, Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science (KCLAS) got valuable insights into global trends, best practices, and innovative approaches in various sectors as part of the mission. They visited Sharjah chamber of Commerce and explored the possibilities of sending Kumaraguru students with entrepreneurship and startup ideas to study the startup ecosystem of UAE with the help of alumnus doing business in Gulf countries.
They visited RAS AL KHAIMAH Economic Zone and the possibility of establishing industry focused skill development centres was explored. They also visited Indian Business and Professional Council, Dubai and discussion happened on setting up International Internship Hub. The team also had the opportunity to meet the His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Faisal Al Qassimi, smember of the Royal House of Al Qasimi who rule the Emirates of Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.
KCT Business School (KCTBS) Host the Inaugural Session of Kumaraguru Elevate Series on “AI for Education”
Kumaraguru Elevate Series inaugural session on “AI for Education” gave wonderful insights on the ways and means by which AI can be used for education. The Talk Series organised by KCT Business School is a dynamic forum designed to expand the horizons of knowledge. Kumarguru Elevate happened on 29 September 2023 at Kumaraguru City Centre.
The panel discussed about how academic assessments change in the age of AI, how can AI be used as a tool for enhancing learning experience of the students, how AI enhances collaboration among students and help in understanding of the progression of students. The ways in which AI can be an enabler in teacher knowing more insights about the students. How much personalization of learning is possible with the online learning platforms. Can AI be used as a personal assistant for courses that students do beyond their class? Can content curation take a new turn in the age of AI for emerging learning requirements

KCLAS Hosts First Workshop Series on NVivo Software for Academic Researchers
The first edition of research workshop series to master the qualitative research analysis software – Nvivo was organised at Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science (KCLAS) on 07 October 2023. NVivo software helps researchers who are into qualitative research in sectors from social science and education to healthcare and business.
Dr. Sahil Gupta, Associate Professor at Jaipura School of Business, Ghaziabad (UP) was the chief guest for the event who laid emphasis upon the broad spectrum that lies within the software. He covered the distinctive facets in the software such as Thematic Analysis and Sentiment Analysis, Data Punching, Cleaning Tokenization and Word Clouds. Around 30 researchers and academicians across different colleges and universities engaged with newfound insights, and enhanced skills on qualitative data analysis.
“The session was structured and informative with the promised hand-on training, incredibly helpful content and ways to increase chances of publication”, said Ms. Shabdapriti, one of the participants. The successful start of the research workshop series stands as a testament to the institution’s dedication in nurturing an environment with opportunity and holistic growth.
Kumaraguru Institutions Team Secure Second Spot in the Coimbatore Zone Level Basketball Tournament
The Basketball team of Kumaraguru Institutions secured second position in the zone level basketball tournament Coimbatore zone organised by Coimbatore District Basketball Association on 09 September 2023. The event had the participation of 86 teams from seven districts. By winning second-place position, the team earned a spot in the Senior State Basketball Championship.
In the first match, we competed against the Monster Basketball Club (Coimbatore) and won with a score of 89-16, securing a victory margin of 73 points. After winning four matches against Monster Basketball Club, Pollachi Basketball Club, Rockerz and RLMHSA teams, the Kumaraguru team entered the league phase where it defeated Bharath BBC and YMCA Coimbatore team. The Kumaraguru team lost to United (Coimbatore) to secure the second spot.
