Speed Thrills But Kills’. Road accidents have been a major cause of concern across the Indian subcontinent. In 2019 alone, the country reported over 151 thousand fatalities due to road accidents. Traffic rules are meant for your safety, and there should be no arguments against why you should ensure to follow traffic rules while driving or walking on roads. Traffic rules help protect you on the road as well as everyone else driving on the same road.

Here comes an online webinar “VIZHITHIRU VILAGI IRU” to create awareness on road safety by Priya Ramakrishan, road safety coordinator of Coimbatore Children’s Traffic Park. In this event the speaker stressed the traffic rules we have to follow while driving, the safety measures we must ensure, to follow road lane rules and various rules and regulations regarding road safety.

The main objective of the event is to create awareness about road safety by detailing the importance of life. The outcome of the event is to create awareness among the teenagers and students because they are the ones who face the majority of the accidents due to a lack of applications of road safety rules.

This event was held for an hour virtually through Zoom on 14 Sept 2021 – 5 PM in collaboration along with Rotary Club of Coimbatore Central and Rotaract Club of KPR CAS.
