As quoted above, We the YRC people of Kumaraguru Institution organized an event named “UNITE” to develop disaster management skills for every individual and to have a great experience with alumni.

The event took place on 19th September 2021 in Microsoft Teams. The registration form was circulated two days before the event through all social media, and the meeting link was shared to participants through WhatsApp. With support of one of our alumni Anand Babu E as chief guest, we made the event successful.

Our chief guest presented, basic questions of disaster management to the participants and clarify their thoughts about it. Then, he explained about every type of disaster management. Firstly, he starts with fire disaster and it’s real time issue and how to overcome the such disaster situation. Secondly, he talks about flood and he explained every escape method by his experience, and specifically told about knots used in flood. Thirdly, we discussed about earthquake and it has been most dangerous in this season of scenario, with his experience of training program he explained the escape ways in those situations.

He gave more attention to topics of knots and first aid, which is the basic knowledge that will be useful to save one’s life. He shared his own experience on saving life and inspired us more.

Finally, the event ended with queries session and conclude with vote of thanks. We had about 50+ participants for this informative event and participants had a great time.
