Puppet Show 

Kumaraguru Tamil Mandram & Nature Club of Kumaraguru organized a Puppet show named PAAVAI KOOTHU on 24 June 2022. This event highlighted the talents of traditional performers and encouraged them. The entire event happened in four parts. The first one was the puppet show in which the puppets were engaged in such a way that it creates awareness on the environment and wildlife through a beautiful story. The second part was Ventriloquism by Mr. Anandh, which was a fun and entertaining part. The third one was mimicry by Mr. Roopan which was enjoyed thoroughly by the audience. The last part was puppet dance and it showcased how they handle puppets behind the screen. The main objective of this show was to encourage the traditional art performers and to make the students realize its importance. 

Department Events 

EV- The Electro Mech 

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, KCT, conducted a quiz event titled EV – The Electro Mech on 01 July 2022 at CADD Lab. This event was conducted for Mechanical Engineering students and was all about Electric Vehicles and some riveting Aptitude Questions. Around 25 participants were there for the event and based on their performance, the winners were selected and awarded a cash prize of two thousand rupees. 

Personality Development Sessions  

Personality Development Sessions were organized for PGDDE/Cameron Batch-8 students on 23 and 24 June 2022. A leading training and development organization conducted the sessions. Trainers with decades of experience handled the following sessions for the students. Many interesting activities were conducted during the event on both the days includes Corporate Expectations , Self Confidence & Self Esteem, Interpersonal Skills , Business Etiquette , First Impression & Grooming  and Goal Setting & Time Management 

Club Events 

KALAM Valediction 2022 

Kalam is an Intra College Sports Fest conducted by KCT from 18 to 27 June 2022. The valediction ceremony was organized on 27 June 2022 at Ramanandha Adigalar Auditorium. Totally there were six teams, and the competitions were organised for them.  The rank board was prepared as per their performance in the events. Mr. Sathish Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Podanur, was invited as a Chief Guest. He spoke about fitness and motivated the students to study and prospect in their careers. Finally, he felicitated the winners and the event ended with a vote of thanks. 

Telescope Session 

The SEDS Club of Kumaraguru conducted an event titled Telescopic Session on 28 June 2022. The club members saw all seven major planets congregate in the morning sky. The five naked-eye planets lined up in order of distance from the Sun and stretched along the ecliptic. Then the Moon joined later. The spectacular morning was perfectly situated for hours of remarkable telescopic views. Within a span of just over 90°, the rings of Saturn, the atmospheric belts and the Galilean moons of Jupiter, the rusty surface of Mars, the phase of Venus and a fleeting glimpse of Mercury were seen. 

Analytics Landscape in Various Domains 

The IEEE Computer Society, KCT Chapter, organized the first webinar on Analytics Landscape in Various Domains on 29 June 2022 through MS Teams. The webinar was handled by an impact creator Mr.Ashvanth B, Technology Analyst, Infosys. The session was conducted to open up the analytical minds. The webinar covered the topics of emerging techniques in Analytics, Skill requirements, Job role in Analytics, and Real time use cases. Finally, the event ended up with a Q&A session 

Hackathon on RF Signal & Antenna Design  

The IEEE KCT Student Branch and HAM Club of Kumaraguru organized a two-day Hackathon on RF Signal & Antenna Design sponsored by IEEE Region 10 Educational Activities on 24 & 25 June 2022. The themes of the hackathon were Antenna Designing, Signal Processing, Frequency Modulators, Amplitude Modulators and Demodulators. A team of a maximum of three members participated. Based on the performance of the participants, the winners were selected and awarded a cash prize of ten thousand rupees.
