Japanese Delegate Visit
International Relations Office along with CEED (Centre for Career Empowerment & Entrepreneurship Development) delve into the possibility of bridging the gap in skill and workforce with Techno Smile India Pvt. Ltd. The Japanese delegates had a discussion with the leadership team from KCT and interacted with engineering students about the prospects of learning Japanese and working opportunities in Japan.
Farewell for Batch 2022
Farewell marks the culmination of one journey and the beginning of another. Kumaraguru College of Technology bid adieu to the final year students in June 2022. The event started with the welcome address by Outgoing Department Association Presidents followed by HoD and Class Advisor address. Then the event was open to the students to share their feelings and experience in their college days. Most of them took their turns to talk and share some words of wisdom with their juniors. Following them, the juniors talked about their experience with the passing out batch. They shared some anecdotes and their learnings from their seniors. Shri.Shankar Vanavarayar, Joint Correspondent, Kumaraguru Institutions, visited all the event venues and expressed his views on the current batch and wished them all success for their future. The event ended after two whole hours which will always be etched in all memory.
NIDHI PRAYAS Program Grant

An interdisciplinary team consisting of Surya Prakash V, III year, MCE; Sree Ezhil V R, III year, MCE; Paramasivam R, III year, TXT; Jothikrishna K, III year, ECE and Nishaanth S, II year, ECE, under the mentorship of Mr.R.Raffik, Assistant Professor, Mechatronics Engineering and Dr.M.Saravana Mohan, HoD, Mechatronics Engineering from Kumaraguru College of Technology has been selected for the NIDHI PRAYAS Program at iTIC Incubator, IIT Hyderabad, in June 2022 with the financial support of Rs. 10 Lakhs.
World Skills Selection Achievement

Pragadesh N.R of III-year ECE, Kumaraguru College of Technology, garners second position in World Skills Selection Tests for Renewable Energy conducted from 4 April to 17 June 2022. Only five candidates from the country were selected for selection tests for World Skills 2022. After the selection, only two candidates including Pragadesh.N.R moved to the final selections and any one of them will represent the country at World Skills 2022. He has already won Bronze Medal in Nationals. Now, he has outperformed other candidates and achieved the second position.
Outbound Training Programme
PGDDE / Cameron Batch-8 students were taken for an Outbound Training Programme at NALS, Coonoor, from 14 to 16 June 2022. The training brought the best out of the students through experiential learning, augmenting out of the box thinking skills and strengthening their team spirit leading to optimal outcomes.

International Conference on Sustainable Materials, Management and Innovative Technologies
International Conference on Sustainable Materials, Management and Innovative Technologies 2022 was organized jointly by the Departments of Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Fashion Technology and Textile Technology, KCT, on 23 & 24 June 2022. Prof.Seeram Ramakrishna, FREng, Everest Chair, National University of Singapore and Dr.Seshadri Ramkumar, Texas Tech University, USA, presided over the conference and delivered Keynote Addresses on Materials Circular Economy and Sustainable Advanced Textiles respectively. Around 100 research papers were presented during the conference.
Scholastic Talk Series: Employability Skills for 21st Century Learners
The Department of Languages and Communication, School of Foundational Sciences, KCT, jointly with Project Based Learning Framework of KCT conducted Scholastic Talk Series: Session 15 titled Employability Skills for 21st Century Learners on 24 June 2022 at Swami Vivekananda Hall, KCT Campus. Dr.Vijaya, Department of English, The English and Foreign Languages (EFL) University, Lucknow Campus, served to be the Guest Speaker of the day and deliberated on the importance of getting industry-ready engineers and developing English language skills to shine in their professional life. Dr.Vijaya has published book chapters with TESOL, Virginia, US. She is currently a Principal Investigator on a Cambridge IELTS Project funded by the University of Cambridge and the British Council in collaboration with the Australian Council of Educational Research. The main objective of the event was to provide awareness to the participants about the basic language requirements to become industry ready and to provide a platform to equip them with necessary employability skills. Dr.B.Arokia Lawrence Vijay, Dr.S.G.Mohanraj and Dr.Tissaa Tony from the Department of Languages and Communication, KCT, coordinated the event.
Session on New Age Education
The Department of Automobile Engineering, KCT, conducted the third lecture in the series on New Age Education on 24 June 2022 at Ramanandha Adigalar Auditorium, Kumaraguru Campus. The objective of this lecture series was to orient the faculty members of Engineering, Arts and Science, Commerce and Agriculture domains towards developing future skills in teaching learning process. Prof.Usha Natesan, Director, NITTTR, Chennai, served to be the expert speaker for the session.
Alumni Interaction – Need for Language Enhancement and Soft Skills
The Department of Languages and Communication, School of Foundational Sciences, KCT, conducted an Alumni Interaction titled Need for Language Enhancement and Soft Skills on 24 June 2022 in F Block, KCT. Mr.Abishek Paul Jackson, KCT Alumnus – Batch 2009 was the special invitee. The speaker actively interacted with the students on the importance of English language in the present scenario. The programme was organized for the first-year students of B.E. / B.Tech and the participants were found to be excited and enthusiastically involved in the session. The event was coordinated by Dr.A.S.Mythili, Dr.R.Hema and Dr.S.Sreejana of the Department of Languages and Communication. On the whole, the session proved to be an informative and impressive one with respect to students understanding of the impact of language in the current situation.
Club Events
Sangamam: Chapter 4
iQube, KCT, in collaboration with Tamilpreneur Startup Community organized a meetup titled Sangamam: Chapter 4 with entrepreneurs at Lecture Hall on 25 June 2022. The event was conducted with 75 external participants inclusive of participants from Angel Investors, VCs and Tamil Entrepreneurs and 50 KCT students. Ms.Hemalatha Annamali, Founder, Ampere Electric and Mr.Shyam Prashad Rajasekaran, Co-Founder & CEO, Vegroute, were invited as guest speakers.
Yoga for Humanity
The Department of Human Excellence and Agam Forum of Kumaraguru conducted an event titled Yoga for Humanity in commemoration of 8th International Yoga Day 2022 on 21 June 2022. This mass yoga session was organized for students, teaching and non-teaching staff in KCT campus. This session helped to improve one’s concentration and brought relief from stress.
