A Leap Forward Technical Week 1 Data Analysis
Sometimes decisions can’t be taken easily, one needs to think about past and current situations to arrive at a conclusion. Similarly, data analysis is a process where a result or decision is made based on the data from the past for a desirable outcome in the future. Data analysis is almost used in all fields and is one of the flourishing domains that never gets bored. For the people who are enthusiastic about these domains, the Department Association of CSE, KCT, organized a technical week as a part of the CS-20 program for the young minds of the CSE Department on 04, 06 & 08 April 2022. Each week contains peculiar and interesting topics that will help improve the knowledge and skill of the CS 20 enthusiasts. The topic for the first week of CS-20 was Data Analysis. Ms.Priyanka Vijayanarayanan served to be the domain expert for the session. She is an alumnus of KCT, a graduate of Computer Science Engineering. She has completed her M.Tech and is also a former software engineer at Bosch Global Software Technologies. She taught the basics of data analysis and brought a better understanding of the skillset required for a data analyst which made the enthusiasts explore their options for their future careers. There were also hands-on sessions on excel functions and R-programming for better insights regarding how data analysis takes place.
