Every small work is all an intricate design of a larger work plan.The inauguration of the Textile Department Association was initiated on 21 September 2019. The objective of this event was to induct the office bearers of the association and to address the upcoming year plan for the year 2019- 2020. The programme started off with the prayer song. The welcome address was delivered by the President of the Department Mr.Saravana Manikandan. Following this, Dr.J.Srinivasan, Head of the Department addressed the gathering emphasizing on the development of job opportunities and our constant awareness to the arising competition in the society. After the HOD address, the Chief Guest Mr.C.Kamatchisundaram (Vice President Textile Machineries Division Voltas Limited) addressed the gathering. His talk threw light on the various opportunities like internships, industrial visits and project guidance for those in interest in the industry. Shri Shankar Vanavarayar, Joint Correspondent of Kumaraguru Institutions appreciated  the office bearers of their achievements and wished them well to bring more such laurels to the institution. The key speakers on this occasion were Mr.C.S.Balasubramaniam and Mr.K.L.Jeyaraj. Their address was based on real time facts and the importance of a textile engineer. The induction of the office bearers followed after the chief guests address. The office bearers were inducted and received their badges according to their designated positions. This was followed by the presentation of action plan for the year 2019-2020 by Mr.Vijay Venkataraman, Treasurer TTA. This was followed by the proposal of vote of thanks by Ms. Tharani, Secretary TTA. 

Following the inauguration, the technical seminar was presented by Mr.C.S.Balasubramaniam on Modern Spinning Machineries and Mr.K.L.Jeyarj on Modern Processing Machineries. The session covered topics on various advancements and automation in the Textile industry and the contribution by the Voltas team to the development of the Textile industry as a whole.
