The world’s leading Internet of Things service provider (IoT).

One global 0G network to link your physical world to the digital universe and power industry transformation.

The Power of Low:

Ludovic Le Moan and Christophe Fourtet founded Sigfox in 2010 with the goal of connecting every object in our physical world to the digital realm. The two French founders created a global Internet of Things network based on low power, long range, and little data that provides end-to-end communication. Sigfox has been powering a sustainable and connected world since its beginnings, paving the way for the next Internet revolution.

Ludovic Le Moan has raised almost €300 million from strategic and financial investors in Europe, the United States, and Asia to enable the Global 0G Network’s expansion in just a few years. He also co-founded the “IoT Valley,” Europe’s first IoT ecosystem, to aid start-ups in accelerating the Internet of Things’ acceptance.

Sigfox is the first company to develop the world’s largest IoT ecosystem, which includes everything from huge manufacturers to hundreds of startups and device makers across four continents.

Ludovic and Christophe formed the Sigfox Foundation in the service of defending rhinos in Africa and the safety of researchers in Antarctica, with the goal of making the world a better place for everyone. The Sigfox Foundation’s purpose is to use new and low-cost technology to help protect our planet and its inhabitants.

Creating a deep communication system for the planet.

A safety net for everyone.

The ozone layer is a barrier that protects both the earth and humanity. It serves as a natural shield against the harmful effects of sun radiation, and we would perish without it. Sigfox intends to build a global 0G telecommunication standard dedicated to the transmission of short messages, allowing us all to have access to a basic level of communication.

We must recognise the necessity of being able to access and rely on communications networks as our economy, environment, and social ties grow increasingly intertwined. As we become increasingly reliant on digital services, we have become more susceptible. That is why we are advocating for the adoption of a global 0G telecommunication standard dedicated to the transmission of short messages, so that everyone can have access to a basic level of communication.

This standard would be based on the following principles:

  • The provision of a minimal channel for transferring small messages, that would complement other communication protocols (WiFi, Bluetooth, Satellite, 3G, 4G, 5G, ADSL, Fibre…)
  • Setting up a back-up channel in case the main communication links fail, or in cases where a network goes down after a natural disaster or malicious act
  • Increasing and guaranteeing the security of networks and exchanges, to stabilize our digitalised economy
  • Simplifying access to different networks to increase adoption
  • Reducing energy consumption linked to telecommunications networks

Coverage on Demand:

In IoT installations, network coverage and signal quality are critical for scalability.

Additional coverage may be required in some regions to handle the characteristics of a use case.

For any type of IoT application, the Access Station Micro is a versatile and cost-effective gateway that can readily offer coverage in hard-to-reach regions, such as deep indoors or in distant locations.

Deep Connectivity with Value Creation:

Sigfox’s revolutionary and worldwide connection services extract very little and relevant data that is wirelessly transmitted to the internet over a long distance at a low cost. Business value, cost and operations optimization, new revenue streams, and better decision-making are all aided by this data.

The Admiral connectivity service is excellent for data transmission that is both frequent and unpredictable. Your devices can connect for an extended period of time, allowing you to communicate large, unquantifiable volumes of data. Admiral is based on predictable autonomy, which means our customers may size their batteries based on the volume of messages they intend to transmit over the device’s lifetime.

The service offers an annual membership with a variety of connectivity options to meet every requirement.
