We The Rotaract Club of Kumaraguru College of Technology have organized a event SERVATHON – A Social Hackathon.
In this hackathon participants have to find out the problems in society and to frame a solution for it. This hackathon is categoried into four domins – Healthcare, Governance, Sustainable Environment and Agriculture. Participants can choose any one domain and have to work on the problem statement and solution. At the beginning of the event we conducted a introduction session for all the participants on February 14 to explain the event flow and to clarify all the queries of participants. Further the event Servathon was planned with two phases. The Phase 1 happened in the evening of February 18. In phase 1 all the registered teams explained their problem statement to the respective domain expert and each team has been evaluated for shortlisting the teams. The shortlisted teams were only allowed to attend phase 2 which took place on February 21. In phase 2 shortlisted teams explained their solution idea to all experts and it has been evaluated for final result. Finally with the results given by the juries, the winners and special mention teams have been decided.
The valediction ceremony of SERVATHON – A Social Hackathon happened on February 24 to announce the most awaited results. This day became more special by our guests DRR. Rtr. PP. Janani Mani and DRRE. Rtr. PP. Keerthi Vivek. In this hackathon we had four teams as winners under four domains and two teams as special mention for their appreciable works. The winners and special mention teams were announced by our guest and juries.

The teams which are recognized as special mentions are Wings and Single Engineer.
The winners were awarded with prizes worth of 13K and all participants were provided with e-certificates for their extraordinary works and ideas. The main objective of this hackathon is to give effective solution to the social problems by bringing out the ideas of young minds. We successfully completed SERVATHON – A Social Hackathon with 50+ teams and 150+ participants. We joined hands to seek the problems , to serve people and succeeded it.
