Reading Circle aims to offer the potential to promote reading for enjoyment by harnessing the social networks that exist within the peer group. The approach promotes reading as an active and desirable social activity, rather than an essentially private and individual one. Flowers of Algernon was a captivating story about a man with diminished mental capacity and his relationship with a lab rat which proved to be as smart as him. This story was a series of surprising events where he regained his ability to be as intelligent as others around him. One hour from every week for three months was devoted to journey through his experience of regaining his mental ability. For each session, 40 pages of the E-document was presented and understood. The story came to a bittersweet end, so did the reading session.
