Reading Circles provide a structure for participants to explore and appreciate a variety of literary and informational texts and to discuss with others the texts they are reading. Talking about their reading ensures that students are actively involved in the construction of meaning as they have opportunities to explore ideas, hear others’ interpretations, and develop critical reading skills. The pilot session was conducted in whatsapp where all the interested people where added into a group. ‘To kill a mocking bird’ was chosen as the text based on demand and 2 months were given for the readers to read the novel. After 2 months, there was a active and vigorous discussion on the perceptions and themes and the circle ended on a positive note.
