We, the Department of Mechatronics Engineering organised an event “PLC Promakers” on 19th March 2021.The event was conducted through Google Meet platform from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Engineering is about using science to find creative, practical solutions.

AIM OF THIS EVENT:

To create an opportunity for the PLC enthusiasts and compete among them and win prizes. This event encouraged many participants to indulge in PLC ideology.

SOFTWARE USED:

  • LogixPro Simulator

ROUND 1:

In this round, a simulation video was played and accordingly the participants are asked to develop codes for the program. The doubts in the video were clearly clarified by the event coordinators. The participants were given 45 minutes to complete this task.

ROUND 2

In this round, a problem statement was provided for the shortlisted participants from the first round. According to the given problem statement, the participants are asked to develop the program. For this round, there was no time constrain. Whoever completes the code first and with no errors was considered winner and the following participant as runner.

PRICE WORTH: 1.75K

WINNER: Sai Prasanth V (Department of Mechatronics)

RUNNER: Padmanaban A G (Department of Mechatronics)

FUTURE SCOPE:

  • PLC programming will evolve, and with the availability of smaller micro and mini USB connectors, you can expect to see this option on more of the smaller PLCs.
  • In the future, PLCs will continuously evolve while adapting technology enhancements in communications, hardware, and software.

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE EVENT:

To bring out innovative minds together and create better designers for future.

Building new designs lead to the development of new inventions thereby taking technology to new era.

“Designing is an art to change world with your innovations”
