“Land of the free, because of the brave”

On 15th August 2021,The whole nation celebrated the 75th Independence day. On this special occasion with lots of love and patriotism we, the ‘National Cadet corps’ celebrated the 75th Independence day in our Kumaraguru Institution. Few of our cadets showed their presence on behalf of the whole NCC of KCT for the celebration to exhibit their patriotism towards our nation. Patriotism consists not in waving the flag, but in striving that our country shall be righteous as well as strong.

CDT SGT Vijay M and FC Akash R did the piloting to honour our Joint Correspondent Shri Shankar vanavarayar sir. Our beloved JC sir hoisted the National Flag and the National Anthem was sung. Our Joint Correspondent sir delivered the Presidential address to the fellow cadets and all the students and faculty members which was clearly astounding. A marvellous and motivational addresses was given by our principal’s of KCT and KCLAS. The chief guests were alumni from our college who are serving in the Armed Forces.Col Prem Anand , Batch 1993-1997, Mechanical engineering and Sqn Ldr Krishna Kumar , Batch 2005-2009, Electrical & Electronics Engineering shared their thoughts and experiences of thier college life and Indian Armed Forces.

We had special address tribute by Covid frontline workers by Dr.Nirmala, Dean of CMCH and Dr. Mohanasundari , Associate professor of CMCH. They both shared how they felt being a frontline worker in this pandemic and what struggles they faced and how they overcome those struggles and hardships.

Our college student Venkat Prasad, Final year Aeronautical engineering, who is also an ex- NCC cadet, shared how he helped and volunteered service during this pandemic by volunteering in KARE. After that CDT Aparna V explained about our NCC flag area to all regarding ‘Atmanirbhar bharat’. It is popularized by Government of India in relation to economic development in the country during and after the COVID- 19 pandemic. Finally the celebration was concluded by NCC Song and vote of thanks.✨
