KARE – Kumaraguru Action for Relief and Empowerment
The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. The volunteers from KARE (Kumaraguru Action for Relief and Empowerment) carried three relief missions at Attapadi, Sethumadai and Wayanad which were worse hit by rain and floods.
KARE Team with its volunteers reached out to the flood affected area in Attapadi, Palakad District, Kerala on 10 Aug, 2019 and distributed 7 Kg of Milk powder, 200 kg of Rice, 10 Kg sugar, 50 Bed sheets, 50 Mat, 10 Kg Dal,200 candle, 60 match boxes and 30 mosquito coil boxes. The Team later moved to the Sarkarpathy settlement in Sethumadai village to assess the situation. KARE provided basic requirements for the people who have been affected by rain and floods due to a breach in the canal which included 15 mats, 26 trunk boxes, 26 blankets, 150 kg of rice, 10 Kg of Dal, 15 Kg of Tea, 5Kg of Milk Powder, 26 packets of candles, 36 packs of biscuits and 100 Kg of sugar, match boxes and mosquito coils.
Basic requirements were supplied to the people from the donations made by well-wishers and sponsors.
