Bicycle to Billion Dreams – The Journey of ISRO

This event talk is based on the topic “Bicycle to billion dream – The journey of ISRO.” This talk was conducted as a part of the celebration of the 75th Independence day and 52 years of ISRO. The talk was organized to educate about the journey of ISRO.
Preparation for the talk:
The speaker Mr. Sreenatha Rathanakumar was contacted with the help of Dr. P. S. Prem Kumar. Posters, registration forms, meet links, and feedback forms (which will be shared at the end of the talk) were created.

Execution of the talk:
As we planned, the talk was started at 11:30 am with a welcome address Ayushi Gautam, a member of the PRO team.
Then the event was taken over by the speaker. His talk included the key milestones and historical events of ISRO. Some of the highlights of his talk:
- Beginning of ISRO and role of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai
- Motto and Mission of ISRO
- Growth and Journey of ISRO since the beginning
- Social activities and Oppurtunities in ISRO
- Free ISRO applications like Bhuvan, Chandrayaan data bases etc.

Learning And Outcomes:
From this event, the participants got some insights about the past achievements, present progress, and future plans of ISRO. The Participants got exposed to the job opportunities available in ISRO and also came to know about the various branches of ISRO.
Conclusion:
“The object of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives.”
The event was a highly successful one. This talk depicted the journey, success, and future of ISRO. It also motivated the participants to pursue their careers in the field of Space Science and Technology.
