Too often we progress through the ‘ropes of life,’ and do not invest the time to express our gratitude and authentic value for the support you so eagerly share for our growth, as not only students, but also as global
citizens of an increasingly complex society.
Inspire. Empower. Engage. These three characteristics are just a short sample of the many you guys demonstrate with all of your students, including me, every single day.
As an educator, your title can ensure a role of heightening my knowledge in academics. However, you see me not as one of the many students you have, but instead you value me for my quirks and strengths.
I’m glad to have been part of a progressive generation of teachers. A generation of teachers that no longer punish students, but try and understand them.
A generation of teachers fostering social change, bringing amelioration with it.
And yet still, it is my humble request that you serve as agents of change to help transform other educational communities for the better.
This message does no justice to what you mean to me; but then again, I couldn’t find enough words to describe how I feel about you.
Today, I celebrate you for being selfless, devoted and hardworking. It is truly an honour to be your student – as I’ll always be.

Thank you for teaching me to fish, instead of giving me one.
Thank you for seeing me as a partner in learning and sharing.
Thank you for supporting me through my endeavours and my failures.
Thank you for being you.
Thank you for your wisdom and your unwavering commitment to make me the best possible person I could be.

Happy teachers day!
